Mr. Wayne Hopkins

Mr. Wayne Hopkins was born in Hawaii. He started martial arts at age
five (family tradition) taught by his elders; grandfather, father, and
Ohana (family). He learned the art of the Hawaiian warrior, “Lua”
through his Alani and Lono blood line. His genealogy is traced back to
the Ali’i, (high chiefs). Through his youth and young adulthood he
trained in Judo, Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, and various Chinese Kung Fu styles.
His desire to learn more of his cultural heritage lead him to the
Polynesian art of self defense. Through the teachings, guidance, and
direction of his kumus and instructors A. Domingo, S. Kaihewalu, S.
Delmundo, R. Jensen, K. Kahaku, D. Nueva, A. Abad and others not
mentioned, Polynesian Kempo became forefront to Mr. Hopkins. With
roots leading back to the Lua Ploynesian Kempo consist of bone
breaking, joint dislocation, and vital pressure points. It combines the
art of stand up and ground self defense to subdue or defeat the
opponent. This is not only an art of self defense this is also an art of
culture and an art of healing. Also this is a spiritual art, an art of many
Alohas. Mr. Hopkins is a Kumu Lua (lua instructor) and a certified 5th
degree black belt authorized to promote and propagate the systems of
Polynesian Kempo. Although he will always be a student of the arts Mr.
Hopkins enjoys teaching his art as well. To see a student succeed is
always an inspiration! He is honored to join the ranks of Mrs. Coake and
her staff of Elite Martial Arts and Songahm Taekwondo. As Mr. Hopkins
says…Hele Mai (come join me) on a journey in a unique martial
art…Polynesian Kempo.

Ms. Susan Coake began her martial arts career in 1998, in
Orlando, Florida, under the instruction of Senior Master Sergio
Von Schmeling. In 2006, Ms. Coake moved with her family to
California. In 2007 she co-owned a academy in Temecula and in
2009, she opened Fit Martial Arts, Inc.

Ms. Coake is a 3rd Degree Black Belt, Certified Instructor,
Certified Combat Weapons Instructor, Certified Level 1 Ground
Fighting Instructor, 2009 & 2010 California Forms State Champion
and 2009 & 2010 Top Ten World Champion competitor in both
sparring in forms. She received the Silver Medal in Forms at the
2010 World Championships.

She is trained in taekwondo, jiu-jitsu, krav maga, haganah,
ground fighting, kickboxing and much more. Ms. Coake devotes
her for love for martial arts, professionalism and courtesy to all of
her clients. Her smiles and loving personality are a warm
welcome as she greets and assists students in all areas of their
training.

Mr. Ryan Brown began his training in 1999 with Shon Bates. He
achieved the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt in May of 2001.

He began working with Ms. Coake in 2007. He tested for Certified
Instructor in October of 2009. He achieved the rank of 4th degree
black belt in 2010.

He enjoys teaching all levels from Tiny Tiger through adults and loves
competing with the 3rd degree Jahng Bahng form. He also hopes to
see all of the students achieve all of their goals and hopes to see
them as a black belt some day. His positive personality and generous
smile is a joy and example to all of his students.

Mr. Gregg Cline began his martial career with the ITF. In 2007, he joined
the ATA Fit family. He tested for Certified Instructor in October of 2009.

He is an amazing instructor and a terrific technician. His goal is to have
his own academy. His high-flying kicks and super-fun classes are joy
and inspiration to all his students.
